On a walk through Myers Park Lynn strolled through doors of Allison Sprock Fine Art and was immediately captivated by the beautiful paintings of women in gorgeous full figure form. She wished the whole world could see what she was seeing! Lynn was particularly inspired with this beautiful painting done by world famous artist Marc Chatov. The woman reminded Lynn so much of her beautiful sister Melissa. It was a sign! As she walked home, the idea came to her to host a gallery crawl to create awareness of eating disorders and to raise funds to pay for Katie Brumley's treatment and others needing help. Katie was only 24 years old and was feeling hopeless as she could not afford costly treatment for her eating disorder. Lynn called her friends in the gallery business and asked for community support and the rest is history. In the Fall of 2011 Melissa's Voice Foundation, Inc. was founded and the HOPE Scholarship created. Melissa's Voice proudly became a 501c3 in early 2013.
